Senior Manager of Engineering

Beam Impact (2023-Present)

  • Lead of all Engineering activity at Beam Impact, directly managing one team of six individual contributors, as well as an engineering manager which leads a team of four
  • Proposed, gathered buy-in, and implemented an Engineering reorganization from four teams to two, increasing development capacity of the org while also re-aligning key members to better suited roles
  • Partnered with People Ops to design and roll out a brand new Engineering Career Progression framework to provide Engineers more concrete understanding of the expectations of their roles, and how to advance in their careers
  • Worked closely with CTO to design and implement a new project prioritization framework, extending on the RICE pattern, which has allowed both Product and Engineering to make more informed decisions on roadmap that align to key business objectives
  • Partnered with Client Strategy team and a team of contractors to lead the strategy and build out of Beam Impact’s documentation for our partners’ integration engineers
  • Designed new sets of KPIs for Engineering around cost, reliability, security, and performance
  • Directly contribute to the NodeJS + Lit codebase as needed in both frontend and backend development, as well as assisting and teaching team members of all levels across the stack

Conga (2018-2023)

  • Promoted to Director of Engineering in March 2022, following years as a Manager of Engineering (October 2018) and Senior Manager of Engineering (February 2020)
  • Managing four teams totalling over twenty Engineers, as well as an Engineering manager, working on a new high growth eSignature product and platform initiatives
  • Work closely with Product team to define market needs, team priorities, and product roadmap
  • Plan and execute annual team summit week to drive knowledge sharing and alignment between product and technology goals for my engineering team
  • Oversaw migration of product infrastructure from AWS Elastic Beanstalk to Kubernetes to address scale and growth of 10x transactions over first 3 years
  • Driving engineering security initiatives, including SOC 2 Type 2 compliance measures of auditing and account security resulting in zero findings in the Engineering organization, and new secure application development training for engineers

Senior Software Development Engineer

Conga (2017-2018)

  • As a Senior Software Development Engineer, lead the development of the Conga Grid product for Salesforce
  • Implemented a new CI/CD pipeline to automatically run unit tests and reduce manual steps in the deployment process
  • Standardized the code review process and automated linting to greatly improve code readability and stability
  • Introduced a unit testing framework using Karma, Mocha, and Chai to improve product feature stability and overall quality
